Property Condition Report

Property Condition Report

A Property Condition Report details the existing condition of a building at a specific point in time. Prior to commencement of any major construction project it is vital to undertake a Condition/Dilapidation report of adjacent properties to minimise any potential risk and to protect all parties in the event damage occurs. In addition to this most DA approvals will stipulate that this type of report needs to be in place prior to works commencing.

Why is a Property Condition Report important?

Having a professional Property Condition Report carried out will assist you in protecting your interests and the interests of the adjacent property owners, resulting in reducing the risk of conflicts and expensive legal claims in the event that something occurs.

Each report will consist of a detailed written schedule, recording all existing defects on an element by element basis and include referenced photographs and sketches identifying the condition of the property at the specific point in time. This can then be used in the event of a claim occurring.
